The
Centre for Policy Studies
The Centre for Policy Studies (CPS) is one of Britain's best
known and most respected think tanks. It exists to promote
coherent and practical public policy, to roll back the state,
reform public services, support communities, and challenge
threats to Britain's independence.
The
Economic Research Council
The Economic Research Council (www.ercouncil.org) is Britain's
oldest economics-based think tank, founded in 1943, which
has historically concentrated on monetary practice. Today
it is a registered charity, dedicated to discuss, dispute,
debate and generally seek enlightenment on economic issues
of all kinds.

Damon
De Laszlo - Damon de Laszlo is Chairman of the Economic
Research Council, the UK's oldest Economics-based think tank.
He is Chairman of Harwin Plc and a former Director of Intellect.
Damon also spends a great deal of time in the United States
where he sits on the boards of several companies.
Ruth
Lea - Ruth Lea is Director of the Centre for Policy Studies.
Ruth Lea has been Director of the CPS since January 2004.
She sits on the University of London Council and is a Governor
of the London School of Economics. She is the author of many
papers including Healthcare in the UK - the need for Reform,
and The Profligate Chancellor for the CPS in 2004. She regularly
appears on Any Questions and Question Time. She was the Head
of the Policy Unit at the Institute of Directors between 1995
and 2003. Prior to the IoD, she was Economics Editor at ITN.
Before this she was Chief UK Economist at Lehman Brothers.

Dan
Lewis www.danlewis.org
is Research Director at the Economic Research Council and
a Research Fellow of the Centre for Policy Studies. Dan Lewis
is a Journalist, a Research Director of the Economic Research
Council, a Director of Environmental Affairs at the Stockholm
Network and a Consultant to Investors and Policymakers on
Energy and the Environment.
